Tasting notes

Soft yellow with greenish reflections and a fine, steady bead. Ripe citrus, wisteria blossom, stone fruit and apple lead the nose, with marzipan and cut hay behind. The palate is creamy and full, its sweetness held in check by bright acidity and a saline edge that lengthens the finish.

About this wine

Andreola is a family estate at Farra di Soligo, founded in 1984 by Nazzareno Pola. Sesto Senso is its Valdobbiadene Superiore in the Dry style, drawn entirely from the winery's own vineyards, planted between 200 and 500 metres on marl, sandstone and conglomerate.

The base wine rests at least six months in stainless steel before a second fermentation by the Charmat method in large pressurised tanks. Residual sugar of 19 g/l gives it a rounder, more generous profile than a brut. The three-litre Jeroboam makes it a centrepiece for a long table.
