Tasting notes

Ruby red. The nose is intense and inviting, with dark fruit, tobacco and juniper berries. The palate is full-bodied with vibrant freshness, supple and well-integrated tannins and a long, persistent finish that echoes the dark fruit and spice.

About this wine

Villa Antinori Rosso was first produced in 1928 by Marchese Niccolò Antinori as the family's signature wine, and it remains one of the most widely recognised labels of Marchesi Antinori. The grapes come from the Antinori estates spread across Tuscany.

The blend combines Sangiovese with Merlot and Cabernet, showing the modern face of the region. After fermentation the wine is aged in French and Hungarian oak barriques, which lend texture and spice without hiding the fruit.

Ruby red in colour, it offers dark berries, tobacco and juniper on the nose and a full, lively palate with supple tannins and a long finish, making it a versatile red for the table.
