Straw yellow with golden highlights. Golden apple, pear and banana on the nose, with citrus and mineral hints. Fresh, lively and harmonious on the palate, with a smooth mineral finish.

This is the only Chardonnay from Inama made with grapes grown on both volcanic and calcareous soils. In the cellar the clusters are destemmed and handled with a "non-reductive" technique — no added sulfur dioxide — with fermentation at controlled temperature followed by aging before release. Pleasantly fragrant and refined, the label features an optical study drawn from Diderot's Encyclopédie, published in the 18th century as one of the first modern encyclopedias in wide circulation.

Excellent with fish starters, and well worth trying with hummus.
