Tasting notes

Pale straw yellow with greenish glints. The nose is floral and delicate, with citrus, green apple and white flowers. The palate is dry and medium-bodied, elegant and fresh, with lively acidity, a pleasant saline touch and a characteristic bitter-almond finish of good length.

About this wine

Piero Mancini, a dentist from Cagliari, began planting vines in Gallura in north-east Sardinia in the 1960s and opened his winery, Cantina delle Vigne, facing the Gulf of Olbia in 1989.

Today the estate farms about 120 hectares across four areas of Gallura, Balajana, Scolombrino, Montelitu and Ciabattu, on well-drained, decomposed granite soils between 100 and 500 metres above sea level, rich in potassium and mineral salts. The philosophy rests on the balance of climate, soil and vineyard.

This 100% Vermentino is a fresh, elegant expression of Sardinia's signature white grape.
