Tasting notes

Pale straw with golden glints. The nose offers almond, marzipan, elderflower, bergamot, lime, pear and white peach. The palate is fresh, soft and savoury, elegant and light on its feet, with a clean, gently almondy finish.

About this wine

Pieropan is a family winery in Soave, Veneto, whose story began in 1880 and has been shaped by four generations of growers; its vineyards are farmed under organic certification.

This Soave Classico comes only from estate vineyards in the hilly Classico zone, on volcanic and limestone soils at 50-300 metres. The grapes, 85-90% Garganega with Trebbiano di Soave, are hand-picked, and the free-run juice ferments at 16-18 °C in glass-lined concrete tanks, where the wine rests five to nine months on its fine lees.
