Tasting notes

Bright yellow with greenish reflections. The bouquet combines elderflower and mountain herbs with a note of ripe gooseberry. The palate is fruity and complex, with elegant structure, vibrant minerality and a long, refreshing finish.

About this wine

Castel Ringberg Sauvignon belongs to the single-vineyard selections of Elena Walch, one of the leading wineries of Alto Adige. The Castel Ringberg vineyard rises between 330 and 400 metres above Lake Caldaro, on calcareous soils that give the wine its mineral backbone.

Around 40% of the wine ferments in large oak casks and barriques, the rest in stainless steel on the lees; the two parts are blended and the wine then rests in bottle, adding complexity to the fresh alpine character of the grape.

Bright yellow with green glints, it shows elderflower, mountain herbs and ripe gooseberry, with a fruity, complex palate, elegant structure and lively minerality that make it an ideal partner for fish and seafood.
