Tasting notes

Intense ruby red. Ample and rich on the nose, with fruity and floral fragrances and spicy, toasty notes. Full, harmonious and consistent on the palate, with balanced freshness and well-polished tannins.

About this wine

Ruit Hora is the Bolgheri Rosso of Caccia al Piano, from the estate's cru vineyards. The 2019 blends 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Syrah.

The grapes were hand-picked into 15 kg crates, each variety and parcel separately, fermented about two weeks in stainless steel and aged around 16 months in barrels and 35-50 hl oak ovals, then six months in bottle. This listing is the 2019 vintage.
