Tasting notes

Ruby red with garnet hints. The nose is lively, with wild berries and spice. The palate is full and rounded, with ripe dark fruit, soft tannins and a gently spicy finish; the wine becomes smoother and more harmonious with time in bottle.

About this wine

Fantinel is a family wine house from Friuli, founded by Mario Fantinel, a restaurateur from upper Friuli who bought his first vineyards in Collio in 1969. Today the family, now in its third generation, manages more than 300 hectares of vineyards across the Friuli, Prosecco and Collio areas, with its headquarters in Tauriano di Spilimbergo.

Borgo Tesis is the winery's line of clean, approachable varietal wines. This Cabernet Sauvignon is fermented and aged in stainless steel, keeping the focus on fresh fruit and the varietal character of the grape.
