About this wine

Il Poggione's Brunello di Montalcino is 100% Sangiovese, hand-picked from the estate's oldest vineyards, which lie between 150 and 450 metres above sea level.

Fermentation lasts 15 to 20 days with the submerged-cap method in steel tanks, using indigenous yeasts at 25-28 °C; the wine then ages for a long time in large French oak casks of 30 to 50 hectolitres, followed by bottle ageing. This listing is the 2016 vintage.
