Tasting notes

Deep ruby red. Fresh blueberry, cherry and raspberry, violet, red rose and carnation, with hints of liquorice, Sichuan pepper, myrtle and black mulberry. Fresh fruit and good body, with a long finish of fruit and liquorice root.

About this wine

This Cannonau di Sardegna is made by Le Anfore di Elena Casadei, the family behind Castello del Trebbio in Tuscany and the Olianas estate in Sardinia, from 100% organic Cannonau matured in terracotta amphorae.

It spends about six months in clay amphorae and five in bottle. Deep ruby, it shows fresh blueberry, cherry and raspberry, violet and rose, with liquorice, Sichuan pepper and myrtle, good body and a long, fruity finish.
