Tasting notes

Deep ruby-purple. The nose offers cassis, blackberry and violet with cedar, graphite and sweet spice. On the palate it is full and polished, with dense but refined tannins, bright acidity and a long finish of dark fruit and minerals.

About this wine

Château Latour is one of the legendary estates of Pauillac and one of the first growths of the historic 1855 Bordeaux classification. Its vineyards lie on the Left Bank close to the Gironde estuary, around the old tower that gives the estate its name.

The grand vin is a blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, famous for its powerful structure and exceptional ability to age for decades.

The 2012 was the first vintage released after Latour left the en primeur system, offered only once the estate judged it ready, and shows a more approachable, fruit-forward side of the estate while keeping its classic frame.
