Tasting notes

Deep ruby. Aromas of cassis, black cherry, plum, cedar and a touch of vanilla and graphite. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with ripe, firm tannins, good freshness and a long, classic Médoc finish of dark fruit and spice.

About this wine

Château Potensac is a leading estate of the northern Médoc, owned by the Delon family of Château Léoville Las Cases. Its gravel and clay-limestone vineyards near the village of Ordonnac produce classic, long-lived Médoc wines of excellent value.

2016 was an outstanding vintage in the Médoc, and Potensac delivered a ripe, balanced blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, matured in oak barrels. Presented here in a 5-litre Bordeaux Jeroboam, a large format that favours slow, graceful ageing.

A spectacular centrepiece for celebrations and large gatherings.
