Tasting notes

Lively ruby red. The nose is intensely fruity, with cherry, black raspberry and blackcurrant complemented by floral notes. The palate is vivid, fresh and soft, with clearly defined yet smooth tannins and a clean, fruity finish.

About this wine

This gift set contains two bottles of Castiglioni Chianti and two glasses in a wooden box. The wine comes from Tenuta di Castiglioni near Montespertoli, a historic estate of the Frescobaldi family, which has been making wine in Tuscany for more than seven centuries.

Sangiovese with a small share of Merlot is fermented and then aged for six months in stainless steel only, followed by a period in bottle, so that the pure fruit of the grape stays at the centre. The 2024 vintage has 12.5% alcohol.

Lively ruby red, it is intensely fruity with cherry, black raspberry and blackcurrant and floral notes; the palate is vivid, fresh and soft, with well-defined yet smooth tannins, an ideal gift for lovers of classic Chianti.
