Tasting notes

Ruby red of medium intensity with excellent brilliance. The nose reveals forest berries and cherry, followed by clear floral notes of violet. The palate is harmonious, fresh, fruity and mineral, with a dense, silky tannic texture and a long finish.

About this wine

This gift set contains two bottles of Nipozzano Riserva and two glasses in a wooden box. The wine is the signature label of Castello Nipozzano, the historic Frescobaldi estate a few kilometres north-east of Florence, and one of the best-known expressions of Sangiovese from Chianti Rufina.

Sangiovese with complementary varieties is fermented and then aged in barriques in the months following the harvest, before further refinement in bottle. The 2020 vintage has 13.5% alcohol.

Medium-intensity ruby with excellent brilliance, it shows forest berries and cherry followed by clear floral notes of violet; the palate is harmonious, fresh, fruity and mineral, with a dense, silky tannic texture, a classic Tuscan red to share.
