Tasting notes

Pale gold. Citrus, tart green apple, white flowers and fresh herbs on the nose, with saline minerality and a light toasted nuance. The palate is precise, with lively, fresh acidity, discreet oak and a long, chalky finish.

About this wine

Domaine Christian Moreau Père et Fils owns more than 3 hectares in the Grand Cru Les Clos, more than any other producer in Chablis. The estate is certified organic and the wines are made by Fabien Moreau.

The main parcel lies high on the slope facing south-east, where densely planted vines over 50 years old grow on Kimmeridgian marl and give low yields. Around 40% of the wine is aged in oak barrels, only a small share of them new.

The 2020 shows the precision and saline minerality of the greatest cru of Chablis, with discreet oak and a long life ahead in bottle.
