Tasting notes

Deep ruby. The nose shows dark cherry, blackberry and spice with a subtle oak frame. The palate is structured and concentrated, with firm, ripe tannins and a long finish that promises long development in bottle.

About this wine

Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron is based in Premeaux, in the Côte de Nuits, and is run today by the Meunier family, Sophie and Alain, with their son Louis gradually joining them. The vines have been farmed organically since 1991, and the estate owns 0.52 hectares in the famed Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru.

Made from 100% Pinot Noir, mostly destemmed and aged in oak with a share of new barrels, this is a structured, concentrated Grand Cru with the potential for long development in bottle.
