Tasting notes

Bright golden-green. The nose is fresh and precise, with lemon, grapefruit and white peach, spicy nuances and a touch of toasted hazelnut from the oak. The palate is tense and energetic, with saline minerality, power and a long, citrus-driven finish.

About this wine

Domaine Jacques Prieur was founded in 1868 and owns vines in some of the most prestigious appellations of the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits. This Grand Cru comes from the hill of Corton, from parcels that climb above the village of Ladoix-Serrigny right up to the woods.

The steep, strongly limestone soils with an eastern exposure give the wine an expressive minerality. Made from 100% Chardonnay, it ferments and ages in oak barrels and goes through full malolactic fermentation.

The result is a tense, energetic white Burgundy of power and precision, with great ageing potential.
