Tasting notes

Bright, clear straw colour. The nose shows grapefruit and ripe pear with light mineral hints and a floral touch. The palate is dry and smooth, with acidity and savouriness in balance, closing on a characteristic almond finish.

About this wine

Fonte is the Soave Classico of Canoso, a family winery that has traded wine since 1876 and in the early 1970s bought the volcanic hill of Cà del Vento to build its cellar. The first bottling came in 1990, after the estate reduced yields to raise quality.

Made from Garganega, the grape of Soave, it is bright and clear, with grapefruit, ripe pear and light mineral notes. The palate is dry and smooth, balancing acidity and savouriness, and ends on a typical almond note.

Since 2016 a young team has led the winery, giving new energy to this classic Veneto white.
