Tasting notes

Bright ruby colour. Morello cherry, wild raspberry and spice on the nose. The palate is velvety and rounded, with silky tannins and an elegant, balanced finish.

About this wine

Gérard Bertrand is one of the best-known winemakers in southern France, and Côte des Roses is his signature range, instantly recognisable by the bottle base moulded in the shape of a rose.

This 100% Pinot Noir comes from the coolest, highest vineyards in Languedoc, on limestone and schist soils. After destemming, the grapes macerate for 10 to 15 days with gentle extraction, and part of the wine spends a few months in 225-litre barrels.

The result is a supple, elegant Pinot Noir with bright fruit and a velvety texture, an easy and stylish choice for the table or as a gift.
