Tasting notes

Intense red colour. The bouquet is broad and concentrated, with ripe dark fruit and delicate hints of tobacco. The palate is balanced and pleasant, with smooth tannins and a warm, fruity finish. It opens up nicely with a little air and is best served in a generous glass, where its fruit and structure can fully unfold.

About this wine

"Gran Maestoso" belongs to the classic range of Cantina Museo Albea, a historic winery in Alberobello, in the Itria Valley. The Primitivo grapes come from vineyards in the areas of Brindisi and Bari.

A long maceration of about sixteen days extracts colour and depth from the skins, and the wine then rests for eight months in bottle before release.

It is a deep, generous Primitivo with ripe fruit and a touch of tobacco, built for the table and for hearty southern Italian cooking.
