Tasting notes

Bright ruby. The nose shows strawberry, red cherry and orange peel. The palate is medium-bodied, with gentle tannins and fresh acidity giving a supple, lively finish.

About this wine

The Hospices de Beaune estate farms around 60 hectares of vines, and its wines are sold at the annual charity auction in Beaune before being raised and bottled by a Burgundy négociant. Its only Santenay is the Cuvée Christine Friedberg from the Les Hâtes lieu-dit, where clay dominates over limestone, donated to the Hospices in 2010.

This Pinot Noir is a medium-bodied red with notes of strawberry and orange peel, supported by gentle tannins and fresh acidity.
