Tasting notes

Bright ruby-purple. Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, plum and black cherry with a hint of graphite and toasty oak. The palate is fruit-driven and supple, with fresh acidity, approachable tannins and a clean, savoury finish.

About this wine

Château Lafon-Rochet is a Grand Cru Classé of the 1855 classification in Saint-Estèphe, in the northern Médoc. Its vines have an average age of around 38 years, and some parcels are more than 80 years old.

Les Pèlerins is the château's second wine, made from younger vines planted mainly on clay and gravel plots. The blend brings together Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.

True to its terroir, it shows a fruit-driven character and is approachable even in its youth, offering a delightful introduction to the style of the estate and to the firm, fresh personality of Saint-Estèphe.
