Tasting notes

Medium-deep ruby. The nose shows ripe dark fruit, cherry and plum with hints of ginger, aniseed and light oak. Dry and medium- to full-bodied, with a rounded texture, elegant tannins and a long, spicy finish.

About this wine

Produttori di Manduria is a cooperative in Manduria, Puglia, officially founded in 1932. It brings together around 400 growers, known locally as the "masters of Primitivo", who farm close to 900 hectares of vineyards, most of them trained as traditional free-standing alberello bush vines.

Lirica is one of the cooperative's core wines: 100% Primitivo, picked by hand during the first ten days of September, fermented at temperatures below 25 °C and aged for at least six months before release.

Here it comes in a three-litre Jeroboam, a striking format for celebrations and large tables, carrying the generous, sun-ripened character of the Primitivo di Manduria DOC.
