Tasting notes

Deep ruby red. Aromas of ripe dark berries, plum and gentle spice. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, juicy and harmonious, with soft tannins, fresh acidity and a warm, spicy finish. A generous Portuguese red with great value for money.

"Portão 9" 2024 is made by Quinta de São Sebastião, the largest producer in the Lisboa region, based in Arruda dos Vinhos north of Lisbon. It blends the native Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional with Syrah.

A top-rated best buy: James Suckling awarded it 90 points and the Berlin Wine Trophy a gold medal. Intense and spicy in style, it combines Portugal's climate and winemaking tradition in a harmonious red.
