Tasting notes

Ruby red. Characteristic varietal aromas of red fruit and plum. The palate is dry, full and juicy, with a slightly herbaceous finish. Notes of black cherry, plum and a touch of sweet spice from the oak add depth, with round, supple tannins and good persistence.

About this wine

I Feudi di Romans is the winery of the Lorenzon family in Pieris, San Canzian d'Isonzo, a border land shaped by the Isonzo river, sheltered by the Karst plateau and cooled by sea breezes.

This Merlot belongs to the winery's classic line and comes from vineyards planted between 1998 and 2005 on clay, gravel and sand. It is fermented using the Ganimede method, then matured in stainless steel and in French barriques and tonneaux before bottling.

The 2018 is a dry, full and juicy Merlot from Friuli.
