Tasting notes

Clear, deep ruby red with garnet reflections. Intense and complex bouquet with fruity, spicy and undergrowth notes. Fresh and balanced, with a fine, velvety tannic structure and a clean finish.

About this wine

Marina Cvetic is the Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva that Masciarelli names after Gianni Masciarelli's wife, from four vineyards at San Martino sulla Marrucina at about 400 metres: Colle di Paolo, Fonte Filippo, Schiavone and Colle Rosina.

Each vineyard is fermented and macerated separately before blending, and the wine ages 12 to 18 months in barriques and at least six months in bottle. Deep ruby with garnet hints, it has an intense, complex bouquet of fruit, spice and undergrowth, with fine, velvety tannins, freshness and balance. This listing is the 2018 vintage.
