Tasting notes

Deep colour. The nose offers dark cherry, blackberry and earthy, spicy notes. The palate is dense and fleshy, with ripe, firm tannins and a long finish; it shows its best after a few years and can age for over 20 years.

About this wine

Domaine Hubert Lignier is a family winery in Morey-Saint-Denis that has farmed its vines organically since 2006 and bottles its wines without fining or filtration.

Trilogie brings together three lieux-dits adjoining the premier cru parcels, Chenevery, Porroux and Clos Solon, totalling about one hectare of vines planted between 1936 and 1972, with low yields of around 30 hl/ha. Aged around 20 months in oak, 20 to 30% new, it shows a deep colour and a dense, fleshy body; it opens best after a few years and can age for more than two decades.
