Tasting notes

Deep golden colour. The nose shows the typical grapey aroma of Muscat, now joined by riper notes of dried apricot and honey from bottle age. The palate is dry and fresh, with good body and a distinct limestone minerality that carries through to a clean, lingering finish.

About this wine

Domaine Rémy Gresser is a family estate in Andlau, in the Bas-Rhin, with just over 11 hectares of vineyards certified organic and biodynamic (Demeter).

"Brandhof" belongs to the estate's "wines of the rocks" range: a Muscat from a south-east facing limestone plot, fermented with native yeasts and aged on fine lees in oak barrels.

The 2012 vintage is a mature dry white with a deep golden colour, where the grapey charm of Muscat has evolved into richer, more complex tones while keeping the freshness and minerality of its limestone terroir.
