Tasting notes

Intense, brilliant ruby. The nose is rich, deep and persistent, opening slowly in the glass. The palate is soft and harmonious, with well-integrated tannins, ripe red fruit, gentle spice and a long finish that confirms its balance and elegance.

About this wine

Tenuta Iuzzolini is an estate in Cirò Marina, in the province of Crotone on the Ionian coast of Calabria, with around 100 hectares of vineyards and an underground cellar built from restored local stone and 18th-century bricks.

Principe Spinelli is among the estate's signature wines: 100% Gaglioppo from the Timpa Bianca vineyards, 50-100 metres above sea level, matured in French barriques and then rested in bottle. It shows how Calabria's great native grape can combine generosity with softness and harmony.
