About this wine

Excellent Reserve is the flagship red cuvée of R&A Pfaffl, one of the leading family wineries of Lower Austria.

Zweigelt (60%) gives the fruit, Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) from the Sonnleiten terraces provides the backbone and Merlot (20%) completes the blend. The wine matures 18 months in oak barrels, half new and half used.

Dark purple, with dark fruit, smoky notes and plum jam, it is elegant and powerful, with a hint of chocolate and a long, creamy finish. Serve at 16–18 °C with grilled meat.
