Tasting notes

Garnet-tinged ruby. The nose shows sweet forest berries, cherry and a hint of hazelnut with floral and spicy nuances. The palate is full-bodied, with creamy, chewy tannins, fresh acidity and great depth, ending in a long, persistent finish.

About this wine

Roberto Voerzio is one of the reference names of La Morra, in the Barolo zone of Piedmont. On about 8.5 hectares he plants at very high density and keeps yields extremely low, aiming for concentrated, site-specific Nebbiolo.

La Serra is a single-vineyard Barolo from 100% Nebbiolo. It ages 24 months in used barrels and casks, then eight months in stainless steel and eight more in bottle before release.

The 2017 is full-bodied, with sweet forest fruit, a hint of hazelnut and creamy, chewy tannins that carry a long finish. Open it two to three hours before serving.
