Tasting notes

Garnet-ruby. Aromas of red cherry, raspberry, rose petals and a hint of liquorice. The palate is elegant and fresh, with fine-grained tannins, bright acidity and a long, floral finish. Serve slightly below room temperature in a large glass, letting it breathe briefly to reveal its full aromatic range.

About this wine

Roberto Voerzio founded his estate in La Morra in 1986 and quickly became one of the most celebrated names in Barolo, known for meticulous vineyard work and extremely low yields per vine.

This Langhe Nebbiolo carries the name San Francesco and is made with the same care as the estate's single-vineyard Barolos. It offers the perfume and finesse of La Morra Nebbiolo in a more approachable form, ready to enjoy earlier. Production is small and the wine is eagerly sought by lovers of Piedmont's most perfumed Nebbiolo.
