Tasting notes

Intense ruby. A penetrating, ample and complex nose of violets, raspberries and pomegranate. Warm, dry and rich on the palate, with nice balance.

About this wine

Caparzo's Rosso di Montalcino is Sangiovese from the estate's vineyards north and south of Montalcino: Caparzo, Il Cassero and San Piero-Caselle.

It ferments for about seven days at 28-30 °C with délestage and pump-overs, followed by five more days on the skins and a spontaneous malolactic fermentation. This listing is the 2019 vintage.
