Tasting notes

Deep ruby colour. A fresh, fruity nose of small red berries, herbs and spice. The palate is soft and juicy, balanced, with well-integrated tannins and a fresh, clean finish.

About this wine

Tenute Silvio Nardi is a historic name in Montalcino: the Casale del Bosco estate was bought in 1950, and the family was among the founders of the Brunello consortium in 1967. Today it farms around 80 hectares of vineyards, and in 2019 four of its own Sangiovese clones were entered in Italy's national register of grape varieties.

This Rosso di Montalcino is 100% Sangiovese, made in a fresh, fruity style. Soft and juicy, it is balanced by well-integrated tannins and a fresh finish, making it a versatile partner at the table.
