Tasting notes

Complex and intense on the nose, with dark fruit over a fresh mineral base. Powerful and rich on the palate, with great concentration, fresh rounded tannins and a long, elegant finish.

About this wine

San Cristóbal Reserva is a limited-edition red from a single parcel, made only in the best vintages on the historic Pago de Valdestremero estate near Peñafiel, in the "Golden Mile" of Ribera del Duero.

It is 100% Tinta Fina (Tempranillo) from the La Arenosa parcel at 900 metres, with 35-year-old vines. Half is fermented in steel and half in French oak, followed by at least 18 months in French barrels.

Elegant and concentrated, with a fresh mineral base and rounded tannins. Serve at 16–18 °C.
