Tasting notes

Brilliant ruby red with violet reflections. Ripe red fruit, floral notes and herbs such as lavender, sage and thyme. Dry, savoury and delicately tannic, warm and fairly soft, with dried-fruit notes.

About this wine

Mustilli's Piedirosso comes from the Pozzillo vineyard at Sant'Agata dei Goti, in the Sannio hills of Campania, facing south-west at 250 metres on calcareous, volcanic and clay soils. Piedirosso, "red foot", is named after the red stalks of its bunches.

The hand-picked grapes ferment for about two weeks in temperature-controlled steel, and the wine matures in steel only. Brilliant ruby with violet hints, it shows ripe red fruit, flowers and herbs such as lavender, sage and thyme, and is dry, savoury and gently tannic. This listing is the 2021 vintage.
