Tasting notes

Straw yellow with golden hints. The nose is delicate, with white flowers, honey and tropical fruit. The palate is full and rounded yet elegant, with a harmonious balance between ripe fruit and freshness and a smooth, lingering finish.

About this wine

Frontiere comes from Fantinel's Sant'Helena estate in Collio, an area lying right on the border between Italy and Slovenia. The Fantinel family has made wine in Friuli since 1969, when it bought its first vineyards in Collio; today the winery is based in Tauriano di Spilimbergo and farms more than 300 hectares.

The Pinot Bianco grapes come from vines around 50 years old, whose low yields bring concentration and a fuller texture. The result is an elegant, harmonious white that shows how well this variety expresses itself on the Collio hills.
