Tasting notes

Pale gold colour. An aromatic nose of rose, linden blossom and Muscat grape from the Tamianka, lifted by citrus and gooseberry from the Sauvignon Blanc, with a subtle creamy touch from the barrel. Dry, fresh and medium-bodied, with lively acidity and a long aromatic finish.

About this wine

Pink Pelican is a small Bulgarian winery whose playful name hides serious winemaking. This 2022 white is a blend of Tamianka – the local Muscat-family grape – and Sauvignon Blanc, an unusual combination in which Tamianka gives the floral aromatics of rose and linden, while Sauvignon brings sharpness and citrus.

Part of the wine saw barrel, which adds a touch of texture without hiding the aromas. The result is a white that smells aromatic and drinks fresh.

Serve very well chilled at 8–10 °C as an aperitif, with salads or with Asian cuisine.
