Tasting notes

Pale straw colour with green glints. Aromas of lemon, lime, green apple and pear with the fine grassy, white-pepper notes typical of Grüner Veltliner. Dry, light and crisp on the palate, with refreshing acidity and a clean mineral finish.

About this wine

Magura Winery was founded in 1967 in the village of Rabisha in north-west Bulgaria, next to the famous Magura cave. Since 2006 the winery has been thoroughly modernised and produces still wines, traditional-method sparkling wines and rakia, ageing them in French, Bulgarian and American oak.

This Grüner Veltliner – Austria's signature white grape, rare in Bulgaria – shows citrus notes of lemon and lime, green apple and pear, together with the fine grassy, peppery notes typical of the variety.

Serve at 8–10 °C with fish dishes and seafood salads.
