Tasting notes

Amber-honey colour. An exotic nose of lychee, rose petals, ginger and dried apricot with a tea-like nuance from the skin contact. The palate is dry, textured and gently tannic, with warm spice, good acidity and a long aromatic finish.

About this wine

Rossidi is a boutique winery near Sliven known for its experimental, terroir-driven wines. This Orange Gewürztraminer 2020 is a white fermented on its skins, the way a red is made. The result is a colour between amber and honey, a tannic structure that whites normally lack and a completely different profile.

The method is applied here to Gewürztraminer, the most aromatic white grape: lychee, rose and ginger, now with a dried, tea-like nuance. It is a wine for the curious, rewarding with every sip.

Serve at 12–14 °C with spicy cuisine or mature cheeses.
