Tasting notes

Intense cherry red. Aromas of ripe strawberry, red cherry and plum with spicy, earthy notes. Deep and balanced on the palate, with concentrated fruit, fine tannins and a long, elegant finish.

About this wine

Cimal 2019 is made by Familia Bastida, a traditional winemaking family that has worked the vineyards with great success for generations. It presents Tempranillo, Spain's flagship red grape, at its best and earned 92 points from James Suckling.

The vines are over 40 years old and grow at 660 metres above sea level, giving high extract and finesse. Strawberry-fruited, deep and beautifully balanced.

An excellent match for hearty meat dishes.
