About this wine

Passivento is the Nero d'Avola of Barone Montalto, from the Belice valley in the province of Trapani, made with partly dried grapes: the drying begins on the vine and is finished in a ventilated drying room before pressing.

The result is an intense, dark ruby red with an opulent nose of caramelised figs and ripe fruit, and a full-bodied palate that balances roundness and persistence. This listing is the 2020 vintage.
