Tasting notes

Bright ruby with a purple tint. Black elderberry, cranberry and black cherry, with violet notes. Medium-bodied, with lively acidity, fine tannins and a slightly bitter almond finish.

About this wine

Belcore is the organic Sangiovese and Merlot blend of I Giusti & Zanza, from the estate's vineyards in Fauglia, in the hills near Pisa: about 80% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot.

It ages for about eight to ten months in 300 and 500 litre French oak casks, then in concrete, and rests in bottle before release. Bright ruby with a purple tint, it shows elderberry, cranberry and black cherry, with lively acidity, fine tannins and a slightly bitter almond finish. This listing is the 2019 vintage.
