Tasting notes

Bright ruby red. The nose offers red cherry, raspberry and violet with a light peppery spice. The palate is medium-bodied and fresh, with soft tannins, lively acidity and a clean, fruity finish with a faint note of bitter almond.

About this wine

Bertani is one of the historic houses of Valpolicella, founded in 1857 by the brothers Giovan Battista and Gaetano Bertani and closely linked to the history of Amarone. Le Miniere di Novare comes from the family's Tenuta Novare estate in the Valpolicella Classica zone, north of Verona.

The wine is made from the native grapes of the area, led by Corvina Veronese with Rondinella, and is vinified to keep the fruit bright and the structure supple and elegant.

It shows the classic face of Valpolicella: red cherry, gentle spice and a fresh, easy-drinking palate, a versatile red for the everyday table and for Veronese cooking.
