Tasting notes

Ruby red. The nose brings sour cherry, wild berries, almond and violet. The palate is dry, mineral and velvety, with cherry and dried plum, well-integrated oak and a long, persistent finish.

About this wine

Zenato is a family winery from Peschiera del Garda, founded in the 1960s by Sergio Zenato and known for its Amarone, Ripassa and Lugana.

This Valpolicella Classico Superiore comes from hillside vineyards at 250–300 metres in the Valpolicella Classica zone, on limestone soils. The blend of Corvina, Rondinella and Corvinone matures for about 12 months in oak tonneaux, which add structure without masking the fruit.

With 13.5% alcohol, it is a dry, mineral and velvety red that captures the classic character of the Veronese hills.
