Tasting notes

Ruby red. Cherry and raspberry combined with fine spices on the nose. The palate is velvety and rich, with silky tannins, good volume and a long aromatic finish. The oak lends subtle vanilla and sweet spice, and the wine is now showing lovely maturity.

Albert Bichot is a Burgundy house producing wines from a range of prestigious appellations in the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. This village Vosne-Romanée from the 2016 vintage shows the elegance of Pinot Noir for which the appellation is famous.

The wine is aged for 14 to 16 months in oak barrels, 25 to 35 percent of them new, which lends a velvety texture and depth while leaving the fruit at the centre.
