Tasting notes

Deep ruby red. The nose shows ripe plum, black cherry and blackberry with hints of spice and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is soft and round, with gentle tannins and a warm, fruity finish.

About this wine

Cantine Due Palme is a large cooperative winery in Cellino San Marco, in the Salento peninsula of Puglia, bringing together hundreds of growers who farm the traditional bush vines of the area.

Serenere is dedicated to Malvasia Nera, one of the historic red grapes of southern Puglia, often blended but here allowed to show its own character. Warm Mediterranean sun and the sea breezes of the Salento give a soft, generous red with ripe dark fruit and a velvety texture, a fine expression of the heel of Italy.
