Tasting notes

Bright ruby red. The nose offers red fruits and spices with a peppery freshness. On the palate the clay-limestone soil brings density, while gentle extraction keeps the tannins fine and the fruit pure, leading to a fresh, spicy finish.

About this wine

Agnès Paquet founded her domaine in Meloisey in 2000, on land her family has owned since the 1950s, and today farms around 13 hectares organically in the Côte de Beaune and Hautes-Côtes de Beaune.

The "Les Combes" plot lies on the border with Volnay. Half of the vines were planted between 1934 and 1937, the other half in 2013, on clay-limestone soil that gives the wine density.

The Pinot Noir ferments for 20 days in concrete, then ages for 12 months in oak barrels, producing a Pommard with gentle extraction and real finesse.
