Tasting notes

Deep garnet. The nose shows ripe red cherry, rose, liquorice, tobacco and earthy spice. The palate is full and powerful, with firm, fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity and a long, savoury finish of dark cherry and spice. Decant for a couple of hours before serving.

About this wine

Produttori del Barbaresco is the cooperative of the village of Barbaresco, founded in 1958 and today made up of around fifty grower families. In the finest vintages it bottles the great crus of the village separately as Riserva, and Rabajà is one of the most celebrated of them.

The wine is 100% Nebbiolo from the Rabajà vineyard, vinified in the traditional way and aged for a long period in large oak casks before release, in line with the Barbaresco Riserva rules, which require at least four years of ageing.

Rabajà is known for its depth and power within the elegance of Barbaresco: a structured, long-lived red that rewards patience and decanting.
