Tasting notes

Deep garnet. Ripe cherry, plum, rose, liquorice, cocoa and sweet spice on the nose. Full-bodied and rich, reflecting the warm 2015 vintage, with firm but polished tannins, fresh acidity and a long, spicy finish with notes of tar and tobacco.

About this wine

Damilano is a family winery in the village of Barolo whose history goes back to 1890, when Giuseppe Borgogno began making wine from his own grapes; today it is run by the fourth generation of the Damilano family, with plots in several of the most famous crus of the appellation.

Brunate is one of the great vineyards of Barolo, a steep amphitheatre shared between the communes of La Morra and Barolo. This wine is 100% Nebbiolo from the 2015 vintage, a warm and generous year, and is aged in oak before release.

It joins the power and depth of Brunate with the fragrance of classic Nebbiolo, and has the structure to age gracefully for many years.
